Get to know the LIG family

William (Bill) Jones, a Delmarva native began a career in IT over 15 years ago employed by the Worcester County Government as a Computer Technician and Network Support. He then transitioned to the corporate world as part of the IT dept at Lankford Sysco Foods where he was the Network Administrator/ Computer Technician. Bill then moved to small business management as the Manager and Field Technician of Delmarva TechSupport when it was founded in 2002. Bill then transitioned with them into the Lower Shore Broadband Cooperative as the Network Operations Manager. Bill has also worked as an Independent Contractor as Owner/Operator of Techworkz. In 2011 Bill partnered with Shannon Simm to develop LIG Marketing, LLC bringing E-Marketing and Web design to businesses on the Eastern Shore. Shannon Simm started her career in the DC area in 2000 at News Channel 8, Washington DC’s only local 24 hours news station as a Production Coordinator with the Commercial Production team. In 2002 News Channel 8 and its sister station WJLA ABC 7, moved into a new facility in Rosslyn Virginia where she continued to be a part of the award winning Commercial Production team (2 local Emmy nominations and multiple Telly Awards for the team). It was there she developed a passion for creative thinking and the creative process to develop campaigns for local businesses to help send the right message for each business. In 2007 she moved to the Eastern Shore and became a member of the WMDT Sales team, the local ABC Affiliate in Salisbury, MD. She was able to become involved in local networking groups in the area and continued to get creative on helping local businesses create a message to help grow their business. In 2009 she left WMDT and pursued Marketing as an independent consultant to numerous businesses in the Salisbury and Ocean City areas. In May 0f 2011 she partnered with Bill Jones to develop LIG Marketing, LLC to bring an even stronger force when it comes to Marketing. She is excited to help local business brand their business and get their name out there with a mission to grow each business by creating a solid marketing campaign for each.
